What if the world was completely comprised of consumer products and logos?  Logorama gives you a chance to see what it would be like.  In this video, you will see cameos by the Bic pen mascot, the Jolly Green Giant, as well as everybody’s favorite dollar menu dictator (Ronald McDonald) as the villain.  Before we give too much away, just know that this film won the Prix Kodak at the Cannes Film Festival and the Academy Award for Best Animated Short.  Enjoy after the jump.

TESLA EYE CONCEPT

An experiment between some students at the Istituto Europeo di Design of Turin & Telsa resulted in the construction of the beautifully designed Tesla Eye concept. Mercedes-Benz and Eurocopter have joined hands to unveil the Mercedes-Benz Style EC145 luxury helicopter. Designed for business as well private travel, this first product of the line is meant to soar in extreme luxury even in air. The designers have made optimum use of space even at the rear as there is a multi-purpose storage facility at the tail as well. Stuff it with golf clubs or bikes and surfboards for the holiday. BMW GRAN COUPÉ CONCEPT

An actual realistic concept? Go figure… Presented at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show, the BMW Concept Gran Coupé is a four-door coupé that incorporates the classic design features of all BMW coupes: the long wheelbase, the vaulted hood with forward-pointing lines, the set-back greenhouse, the flat silhouette, the coupe-style roof line and the short front overhang reflect the dynamic potential of the vehicle.

THE NOKIA N8

The Nokia N8 has leaked out for the masses… it boasts a 12 megapixel camera (with Carl Zeiss optics and a Xenon flash), 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, HDMI output, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD expansion slot, HD video recording, access to Ovi Store apps, free Ovi Maps walk and drive navigation, and of course, the company’s new Symbian^3 operating system. Can it compete with the iPhone or Droids operated phones?

MIMOSA LIGHT INSTALLATION

Jason Bruges Studio was commissioned by Philips to develop an interactive light installation using their Lumiblade OLEDs, for the 2010 Milan furniture fair.

Mimosa is an interactive artwork displaying behavior that mimics responsive plant systems.The piece was inspired by the Mimosa family of plants, which change kinetically to suit their environmental conditions.
The studio has used the slim form of individual OLEDs to create delicate light petals, forming flowers, which open and close in response to visitors.

THE STREET HOPPER

Created by Israeli industrial designer Adir Zilber. The small scooter dubbed as the Street Hopper, is designed to provide urban commuters with a fun and environmentally friendly option for getting to an from work. instead of a seated design, the street hopper is ridden standing up with the user’s hands on the handlebar. two small footrests provide support, while a center mounted electric engine drives the back wheel. the rear wheel is also linked to the main body with a suspension, making the ride a little less bumpy.
