HELP EAST LA’S “SELF HELP GRAPHICS” WIN 25K IN GRANTS FOR HIPHOP

Monday, 1 March, 2010

Remember the first time you saw breakers doing death defying acrobatics in a battle while a DJ scratched? How about the first time you saw an amazing MC freestyle session? Ever get your hands on a “blackbook” with masterful graffiti artwork front to back done by the kids in the neighborhood?

Well, that is the culture we cherish and are out to enrich and preserve at “Self Help Graphics” every Friday night. “Hard N Da Paint”(HNDP) is a Hip Hop workshop dedicated to not only fostering emerging artists, but also documenting and broadcasting our culture on-line. Every week as special guest artists and musicians perform at HNDP our community documents itself with TV production. Not only does our community hone raw Hip Hop talent here, we also capture, edit and syndicate our sessions for the world to share. HIP HOP IS FREE – we are all ages – FREE – always have been always will be!
…but 25k from pepsi would help us SO much :) our shopping list will not pay a single perons salary – 100% of the monies will be invested into production gear for “HARD N DA PAINT!” VOTE HERE!!! - Self Help Graphics
