Astronomers at the Goddard Space Flight Centre produced the series, called “Blue Marble”, using the Terra satellite more than 435 milles above the Earth’s surface. After capturing images every eight days to compensate for clouds that might block the sensor’s view, the composition has even left Nasa experts astonished: “This image is the most detailed image of Earth to date and which shows the beauty of our small planet,” says a NASA spokesman.

Imagine a day filled with the sweet sound of laughter & music. A day filled with the colors of life, painted ideas & dreams. Imagine a day filled with the grace of dance. That day was a reality for all of the children at OCCTAC and all of the artists involved in Nikki SooHoo’s Exchanging Art event this past weekend. LOUDreams had the amazing opportunity to spend a beautiful day with the lovely children at the Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center. A special thanks to Nikki SooHoo for the planning and organizing, as well as the amazing artists, such as AJ Subat, Bear Allen-Blaine, Esna Yoon, Dance and Spirit Club, and the Bring It On: Fight to the Finish cast, who came out to spread some art love to the kids. Amazing photos by Angelia Trinidad and Raul A. Jalmaani as well! Thank you to everyone that came out to support the event and the cause.

Join Five Four and friends for a good night…
Saturday, 13 February, 2010
On February 12th, 2010 a group of local young adults came together in a friend’s garage for a night of acoustic, folk music and abstract art. Hosts, Jeremy Leasure and Renjit Rajan, have been putting on Rev Poor shows for almost a year now and plan to continue putting on these shows once a month. Leasure and Rajan’s intentions were to provide a place for local bands and artists, which deserve to be recognized, to have a comfortable and safe place to express their art. Different artworks were put up on the walls of the garage along with Christmas lights. Only acoustic instruments were played to give the audience a different feel of the bands’ music. The no electric instruments policy and the dim lights gave the event a homey-café kind of feeling, creating a relaxed environment for the audience.
